The Textile Machinery Museum in Wangtai Street, West Coast New Area, Qingdao has an exhibition area of over 1500 square meters and a collection of over 300 cultural relics. It has 4 chapters and 18 exhibition areas, integrating history, science, and art. The museum showcases the glorious process of the textile machinery industry in Wangtai Street from birth to development and growth through old spinning machines, old photos, and restored old scenes.
It is understood that the textile machinery industry in Wangtai Street started in the 1950s, starting from two small individual handicraft groups. From the initial start, to the birth of the first suspended spindle roving machine and computer roving machine in China, and then to becoming a national textile machinery base, after more than 70 years of development and hard work, it was finally awarded the honorary title of “China Textile Machinery Town” by the China Textile Industry Association.
